Why Choose Us?

There are many things on offer at Woodland Road Public School that make us unique

Here are just a few of the things that make us special

BREAKFAST CLUB

BREAKFAST CLUB

We’re excited to invite students, parents, and siblings to our Breakfast Club, where everyone can enjoy a nutritious, free breakfast to start the day right! We’re here to bring the community together in a welcoming and relaxed space.

Come along, fuel up, and connect with others – because good mornings start with good food and great company!

A special thank you to our volunteer students who run Breakfast Club!

CHROMEBOOKS AND iPADS

Woodland Road Public School has over 250+ devices across K-6.

Chromebooks are powerful tools that support students in their everyday learning by providing easy access to educational resources, collaboration tools, and productivity apps. With cloud-based storage and fast internet access, students can research, take notes, complete assignments, and collaborate with peers from anywhere.

3D PRINTING LAB

3d printer

Woodland Road Public School offers an equpped 3D printing lab!

3D printing is a cutting-edge technology that allows users to create physical objects from digital designs by layering materials like plastic or resin. For students, learning 3D printing fosters creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on STEAM skills. It helps bring abstract concepts to life, making subjects like engineering, design, and even biology more engaging.

CODING

dashbot

Dashbots provide a fun and interactive way for students to begin learning coding. With simple block-based programming, students can easily control their robots, developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills. Dashbots encourage creativity as students code them to move, light up, and even respond to voice commands. This hands-on approach makes coding accessible and engaging, laying a strong foundation for future STEAM learning.

CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERS

APCI working with teacher

APCIs (Assistant Principal, Curriculum and Instruction) work alongside teachers both in and out of the classroom to support literacy and numeracy practice. These leaders support teachers with assessment implementation and identification of student progress, new syllabus implementation and the monitoring of student outcomes.

YEAR 6 LEADERSHIP CAMP

leadership camp

Year 6 leadership camp is a unique and exciting five-day experience that empowers students to develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience. Through outdoor challenges, leadership workshops, and team-building activities, students learn valuable skills that prepare them for their final year of primary school and beyond. This immersive camp fosters independence, strengthens friendships, and inspires students to become positive role models in their school community.
