FAQs

Information on key school dates and Staff Development Days can be found here

You can contact your child's teacher directly through the ClassDojo app. Please note that teachers endeavour to respond as soon as possible during school hours.

Alternatively, you can arrange a time to meet with your child's class teacher by phoning the office.

Your first line of contact should always be your child's classroom teacher. He/She will be able to escalate the matter further if required. This may be to the Assistant Principal or Learning and Support Team.

If you believe your child needs support in any area, please speak with your child's class teacher.

We have a multitude of ways that we can support academically, socially, emotionally, behaviourally and physically.

Parents of children from Kindergarten to Year 12 must ensure their children attend school every day. On occasion, your child may need to be absent from school. Justified reasons for student absences may include:

  • being sick
  • having an unavoidable medical appointment
  • being required to attend a recognised religious holiday
  • exceptional or urgent family circumstances e.g. attending a funeral.

Parents must provide an explanation for absences to the school within 7 days from the first day of any period of absence. Where an explanation has not been received within the 7-day timeframe, the school will record the absence as unexplained on the student's record.

Students who arrive late to school must present at the front office and a reason for their partial unattendance will be required.

If your child is going to be absent from school for the reason of a family holiday, you will need to apply for travel leave. Please contact the school to complete this process.

Online payments can be made through our website using the tab Make a Payment

There will be an online payment code included on the permission slip.

No child should miss out on an activity because of financial hardship.

If you need financial assistance, please contact the school office.

If you require a spare note, please contact your child's class teacher through ClassDojo or phone the front office to arrange one.

You can download a copy of the school Welfare Policy here

Our welfare policy uses a level system to monitor student behaviour. All students begin their enrolment on level 0 and remain there providing they follow the school rules. Students who remain on Level 0 for a term/year are provided with special rewards to acknowledge their positive behaviour.

Students who show negative behaviour are placed on a level, depending on the indicent. You will receive a note if your child has been placed on a level which you will need to acknowlede by signing and returning to the school.

You can find our Welfare Policy here

You will need to update the school if any personal information changes. This may include things such as:

  • Medical information such as allergies
  • Address and contact details
  • Custody agreements/changes
  • Changes in permission to publish photographs

Please contact the office to make any of these changes.

You can find information about our school uniform here

We strongly advise all parents to label everything that comes to school. This includes shirts, hats, jumpers, drink bottles, lunch boxes, handballs etc.

If something has become lost, most blocks have a designated 'lost property' area.

Sport House colours can be found here.

No, we are not a BYOD school.

We do however have over 250 devices across our school including Chromebooks and iPads for students to use.
