Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Gamarada
Our Gamarada program is a dedicated space for our Indigenous students to connect with and celebrate their culture. Through storytelling, art, language, and traditional practices, students deepen their understanding of their heritage while building a strong sense of identity and community. Gamarada provides a supportive environment where culture is honored, shared, and embraced, empowering students with pride in who they are and where they come from.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. Some of the experiences on offer at Woodland Road include: Year 6 Leadership Camp, Stage 2 and 3 camps, Kindergarten Farm excursion. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
School buses
Here at Woodland Road, we have two mini buses that we use to take our students out free of charge for enriching opportunities. Some of these experiences have included bowling, local high school and Botanical gardens visits as well as transport to and from activities such as debating, sports events etc.
